Concrete arch bridge over Funk Road on Union Pacific Railroad
Merton, Waukesha County, Wisconsin
Open to traffic
Built 1910; Rebuilt 1945
- Cleary-White Construction Co. of Chicago, Illinois
- John Marsh Co. of Chicago, Illinois
- Chicago & North Western Railway (CNW)
- Milwaukee, Sparta & Northwestern Railway (MS&NW)
- Union Pacific Railroad (UP)
Reinforced concrete, filled spandrel, round arch, massive design for locomotive loadings. Each arch has a 15' radius. The piers are heavily buttressed. Built for double tracks, it only carries one track. Pipe rail added in 1928. Rebuilt in 1945 which obliterated the build date on the structure.
Total length: 123.0 ft.
