To whom it may interest.I am a resident of Lanier Rd.My close neighbor is the Thompson Bridge.The Fields family has been in the area since the 1800's. I am interested in perservation of the old bridge site. I contacted TDOT and they said their survey was done when the new bridge was proposed.TDOT is responsible for nominating bridges for the Ntl.Registry.Any ideas aboubt some kind of local historic preservation would be appreciated.
