Description
Originally, there was a single lane timber bridge that was demolished and replaced with this newer structure in 2011 in order to facilitate quicker response times for EMS & Fire crews who would have to utilize alternative routes around the bridge or worse yet, not be able to reach the emergency as trains typically use the dual trackage through the Town of Chesnee to pass oncoming trains and will block at grade intersections.
