Mount Pleasant, Charleston County, South Carolina
Status
Destroyed by Hurricane Hugo
History
Built 1898 for an interurban; Widened to allow cars 1923; Rails removed 1927; Replaced by the Ben Sawyer Bridge & closed 1945; Deeded to the city of Mount Pleasant and turned into a fishing pier 1950; Portion destroyed by Hurricane Hugo in 1989
