It is a weight limit sign, I believe it was 3 ton.

I grew up about a mile from this bridge. Was really disappointed to see it closed. I too think it would be nice to see it saved or even relocated.

This is a pre-1900 bridge that sits on dry-laid stone abutments. Would be nice to see it restored on-site....or at least moved to a park.

My guess is that it is a weight limit sign.....guess it doesn't apply anymore!
