As per an article printed in the Reading Eagle on 12/5/17 officials will celebrate the 150th anniversary of this bridge.An official citation from the state house will be unveiled.According to the article this bridge is 204 feet long,was built in 1867 and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.This bridge is the longest single-spanned covered bridge in Pa and is one of only five covered bridges remaining in Berks County.

There is a picture of this bridge from the 1950's in a book called The Passing Scene on page 167.The article goes into very great detail on the history of this bridge.Also shows 2 kids fishing with homemade fishing poles.How cool is that?
