Design
Built in 1914 the Evans Creek Bridge in Rogue River was an early example of a reinforced concrete arch bridge in Oregon. The original design of the bridge featured a closed spandrel arch with a 16-foot roadway. In 1962 the bridge was widened to 34.5-feet, which included a 26-foot roadway and a 5-foot sidewalk. The widening was completed by the addition of pre-cast I-girders to upstream side of the arch bridge.
