Design
This bridge is a Modified Parker through truss, so-called because the panels were subdivided to allow for greater stiffness and support for the deck. This is the only bridge of its type on the Oklahoma Department of Transportation Historic Bridge Survey.

Stopped by today; the new bridge is completed and the old bridge is, indeed, open to pedestrian traffic.

Visited and photographed this bridge and the adjacent railroad bridge today. The new bridge is still under construction (the rebar was rolled up nearby and it looked like the footings were in place, but there was no deck at all yet), so this one will be in use, I suspect, at least until spring 2016.
