Most of the photos on this page only show the girder spans over the river. The most significant span on this bridge is the unusual Baltimore deck truss over Main Street.

This bridge was updated with steel piers on limestone bases, between the original piers. Look at the engravings.

I beg to differ with the information in this article. I have a Scientific America (April 1884) and it has an article on this bridge. Built, I would imagine, around 1884 by Clarke,Reeves&Co, Phoenixville PA Bridgeworks.
