It is known that Thomas Leighton (Leighton Bridge & Iron Works) had built at least 143 bridges for the New York Central Railroad by the end of 1874; and built dozens, if not hundreds more for NYC by the time he retired in 1881. I suspect this may be one, especially seeing how the extra truss lines were added. Unfortunately, this will be difficult to confirm.
