Design
One of only 5 of the Clinchfield's 54 tunnels (and the only one of the 17 tunnels in the Blue Ridge Loops) that does not have at least one concrete portal; both portals to Lower Bridle Path Tunnel are rock-faced and the entire tunnel is rock-lined.
