Pony truss bridge over Antire Creek on Beckwoods Drive

Eureka, St. Louis County, Missouri
Status
Open to the public. Used mainly for Vernon S. Beck Memorial Park.
History
Built 1911 by Stupp Brothers Bridge & Iron Co. as an artery for the Famous-Barr Outing Farm at 84 Lewis Road (1910-1942). The resort is now Beck Park, a beautiful public park with lots of ruins.

Beckwoods Drive Bridge

There is a very faded sign saying "private drive". I noticed it when taking photos on the way out. I don't think it is to be believed, as this is an access to what seems to be a public park. The park was closed, but maybe only temporarily.

It appears the bridge has been repaired, and not to badly! Nice to see that it wasn't just torn down and replaced.
