Middle Fork Old US 36 Bridge
Posted December 29, 2010, by Scott Lowe (dayoffguy [at] aol [dot] com)

Old 36 hwy! My parents are from Macon.

Old hwy 36 was the route we took from KCMO to Macon. My family drove across this bridge many times in our 1970's chevy station wagon.

You can see the bypassed sections of old hwy 36 from new interstate hwy 36. You can drive the old hwy 36 sections. The new exit & entrance ramps from New hwy 36 do connect to Old hwy 36.

Much like Route 66 the old hwy 36 sections are intact. A bygone era in our hwy history.
