Old remains of bridge over the RI

Bridge was a typical timber stringer used by the Rock Island, as was removed in the mid-1980's. Down the track to the east used to be called Denton, and had a depot. I asked a local if it had a name, but he said not that he knew of. When I asked if it could have been called the Denton Bridge, he said it might be possible.

Lost SW 1101st Road Overpass
Posted October 15, 2016, by Kelly McClanahan

I went back out on October 13, to retrace my route that I took. A lot has changed, including now a ramp that brings the trail up to the grade of the road. I was able to talk to a guy who lives near this. A lot of stories, including the confirmation that it was a wooden bridge, and that it was removed in the mid-late 1980's. I would say it was much like this bridge -- https://bridgehunter.com/mo/miller/abbott-road/.

I has been bugging me ever since I add this. I would look at the satellite view, and it would not match up. Neither did the pictures. I finally figured it out, that I missed one when I was mapping them out. What was worse, is that I to go back, and correct all of the other points, and pictures that I took during the trip (at least from points 20-36). I have been trying to submit these to MoRIT and MoDNR, but have not have been able to because the file is too big. At least I caught it before I sent them out.
