Description
Noteworthy for the exposed Havemeyer rebar. Havemeyer bar was deformed longitudinally in a way that maintained a constant cross section, allowing all of the steel to carry the tensile load. This reduced the weight of the bar for any given tensile strength. Circa 1920.

The rebar is unusual. It dates from around 1920. It's the only example I've found of Havemeyer bar in use.
