Appalachian Trail Kennebec River Ferry

Description 

This is a privately managed ferry service to connect the Appalachian Trail across the Kennebec River. Reportedly there was originally a bridge here that was destroyed many years ago and never rebuilt/replaced. The ferry service is owned and operated by a private group of individuals and trail users are encouraged to contact them ahead of time to schedule a crossing. Rates are $5.00 per person with a four person maximum in one boat.
