Description
Lattice through truss carrying the Central Massachusetts Railroad over the B&M Marlboro Branch in Hudson. At some point following the B&M's absorption of the Central Mass and the abandonment of the central section of the Marlboro Branch in 1943, the bridge was removed and filled in. The Central Mass provided access to the Marlboro end of the branch until 1980, with the Maynard end served from South Acton on the Fitchburg route. The abutments for the bridge were unearthed in the early 2000s when the Assabet River Rail Trail was constructed on the Marlboro Branch ROW and the 1940s-era fill was removed.
