Description
The bridge was opened in July 1914 and cost about $30,000. It was rendered obsolete by the gradual closing of the New Basin Canal during the 1950s and finally removed around 1961 as part of improvements to the Municipal Yacht Harbor and Lake Avenue (now Lake Marina Drive).
