The bridge was never derelict/abandoned. I was interested in it because it has a road loop around and go under the bridge on the road it intersects with.

It's been like that since at least the 1930's. And the bridge on KY-22 itself was replaced this year, but Baton Rouge Rd still does the hairpin to go down and under the bridge. Or that's what the stories I read seemed to imply...

Why is this bridge considered derelict/abandoned? It's clearly there in satellite photos. Even if the bridge seen is a replacement, the old one wouldn't be abandoned. It would have been demolished, since this is the only bridge seen in any photos.
