Description
I came across this bridge doing a satellite search of the area and searching for geocaches. This would appear to be a Union Pacific Railroad Bridge. This track mainly supports South bound movements of trains, the North bound tracks run about 30 miles west of here. I was lucky the day I came out to get this that a SB train passed just as I got there, with this in hand I knew I had about 15 minutes before the next train to grab photos. The final photo I loaded would appear to be an old bridge, perhaps the bridge prior to this one being built in 1941 in the river water below. There is a bridge just south of this one that is concrete in construction dated 1928. This rail line would have originally belonged to the Missouri, Kansas an Texas(KATY) RR. A 1906 map shows this railroad at that time as well.
