Ninemile Bridge
TEDD LiGGETT’s phOTOGRAPH_oF_tHE_dAY #5159 - The abandoned Atchison-Santa Fe Railroad double-brick arch bridge (with stone spandrel walls) over Ninemile Creek in Lansing Kansas.
The Ninemile Bridge was less than a 1/4 mile east from my Grandpa Mills’ farm located on Rural Route 3 (147th Street) (Latitude: 39° 13’ 21” N - Longitude: 94° 55’ 8” W), just south of the (new) Lansing High School. Grandpa’s farm was burned to the ground during a volunteer fire department drill shortly after his death in 1995.
