Very true!
The Arizona move was easier too, because it was stone. You can't move a concrete bridge in pieces like a stone arch bridge.
This one has been on the INDOT Bridge Marketing Program for some time now. Unfortunately it's not too easy to pick up and move an arch bridge...unless you live in Arizona.
I had certainly hoped at the least it would be bypassed and left standing.
A contract has been let to replace this bridge on new alignment. It looks like the bridge might still be demolished regardless.
