The old bridge was never replaced. The site is still accessable from the North although it is trecherous. The road to the South has been plowed over.

Built in 1883 by A.M. Kennedy & Sons; heavily damaged by fire in May of 1973 and removed several years later.

That's been added since I made an attempt to access it a few years prior to that. I got stopped by deep silt and had to retreat before I got stuck.

This might be technically accessible from the north. However, my February, 2016 visit found a fence, with a locked gate and signs that said Private Property and No Trespassing. Itís no manís land beyond that gate. I would use strict caution.
