I wondered that myself Nathan.

The difference in the color of the concrete might lead one to suspect. Perhaps it originally had very low railings and these were added when some of the other park spans were built in the 20's.

Nice bridge, the stone-shaped formliner design is a classic detail from the earliest concrete bridges. Do you think the railings are original or are a few decades newer than the original arch?
