My young memories are Velcroed there

Life was a delightful journey with no care

One lane only mimics our solitary plight

No turning back, we press on to the light

Sunrise illumines the eastern most start

Western sunset announces we all depart

Talked to a guy today, said the bridge had been hit several times in the past, including recently by a drunk driver. In which some wood was actually repaced due damage to the truss.

Hopefully they will address some decay issues in the lower chord as well.

The bridge will likely be restored in the near future.

Road widening (shoulder work) is being proposed near to the entrances along with additional guardrail to help increase safety. The bridge will receive raised wooden curbing to help better preserve the bridge from vehicular damage which has occurred in some frequency over the past ten years.
