Abandoned Fox Run Railroad Bridge Abutment |
Description
Traveling west on Bonnell Road right after you pass Fox Road on your right, you'll pass over a stream called "Fox Run". As you cross Fox Run, look to your left and you'll see two large stone bridge abutments on either side of the stream. This bridge abutment was part of a former railroad alignment from the mid-1800's. Word has it that after the rail line was vacated in the 1800s the county took possession of the railroad right of way and turned it into a road. Now a days it is known as Bonnell Road.
