This bridge was repurposed and opened to pedestrians in July 2011 as part of the Sangamon Valley Trail.

This bridge was rehabilitated for trail used and future widening of Old Jack. Three of the spans were removed and replaced with a single span prefabricated truss over the roadway. Parts of the original bridge are still being used to cross over a small stream south of the roadway.
