Hidden Lake Bridge
Posted September 18, 2011, by Gary Sprandel (jaidite [at] aol [dot] com)

I can fill you in some but bear in mind I'm closing in on 50 and the bouts of CRS come on more frequent.

As a kid we used to go visit family downstate and took Rt 53(in the days when 53/290 ended at Rt72) at that area was a tree nursery in the late 60's'70's (IIRC)the reason that bridge stuck out was it was painted pink and even as a young kid that struck me as odd that little pink "girder bridge" off in the distance.

I want to say that the nursery might have been Knupers Nursery as they painted everything that shade of pink as their company colors.

I was actually surprised that it still survives as I'd not seen it on the few times I've passed the area in recent years but with the brush being allowed to revert to wild and it's unusual color scheme rusted well away that's not surprising.
