Description

From the Georgia Historic Bridge Survey (GHBS):

The five-span timber stringer bridge with vertical profile has a wood plank deck, wood railings, and timber pile with timber cap bents. The bridge is an example of a common railroad overpass type dating from ca. 1940. The survey has identified at least 27 examples of timber stringer overpasses. The bridge has been maintained through the use of modern replacement material. The bridge does not date from a historically significant period of railroad development. It does not have a historically distinguished technology, setting or context.
