Description 

Brick arch carrying the Metro-North Danbury Branch over Simpaug Turnpike in Redding. The bridge was constructed by the Danbury & Norwalk Railroad in either 1885 (per the linked newsletter) or 1893 (per state documents). The structure underwent substantial reconstruction in 1996 including excavation of the roadbed and reinforcement of the top side of the arch.
