Foreman Truss
Designed by John L. Foreman
Patent Application, June 1868: http://www.google.com/patents/US78797
Somewhat like a Pratt truss, with diagonals sloping down toward the center as cables under tension and "verticals" and the opposing diagonals as struts under compression. The patent shows the "vertical" members sloped slightly, but the bridges actually built seem to have true vertical verticals.
