Foreman Truss

Patent Application, June 1868:

Somewhat like a Pratt truss, with diagonals sloping down toward the center as cables under tension and "verticals" and the opposing diagonals as struts under compression. The patent shows the "vertical" members sloped slightly, but the bridges actually built seem to have true vertical verticals.

Built 1881; Removed 1994; Held in storage and to be used on trail
