Bedstead truss
View Exhibit mapA Bedstead truss, or truss leg bedstead, is a truss type where the end post is vertical and the endpost extends below the lower chord and functions as substructure. Often any vertical endpost truss is erroneously referred to as a bedstead truss.
Often this type of truss does not survive well longterm as the lower ends of the endpost are subject to corrosion and flood damage.
