View Exhibit mapThe Portland & Western Railroad is a Class II railroad serving the northwestern corner of Oregon. The PNWR primarily serves the western Willamette Valley between Eugene and Portland with spur lines serving timber industries in the Coast Range. The railroad also serves the port city of Toledo on Yaquina Bay and the communities along the Lower Columbia River.
The Portland & Western Railroad features a wide variety of railroad structures including fixed span truss bridges, a movable bridge and many large timber trestles.
