Red Star Route
Began in 1914 by the city of Oxford, Iowa:
"Oxford has adopted "The Red Star" at it's slogan for Its new auto club. The workers are in favor ot a special highway, the "Red Star Route," to link Oxford with Cedar Rapidt, Fairfax, Williamsburg, and Keota"
It is now proposed to or ganize a Red Star Route to connect Cedar Rapids, Fairfax, Oxford, Wellman, Keota, Richland, and Fairfield
