There are two roads referred to as "Scales" across Slate Creek: This pony truss & UCEB combo bridge is in Plumas County on Scales Road/YC 2/USFS road 20N63, a county-maintained gravel road. The bridge downstream from this one is in Yuba County on USFS road 20N35, a paved road closed indefinitely on the northern end.
