Simple concrete slab design with with edge shoulders,center of bridge slab supported by concrete crossbeam pier. Standard concrete two beam pass-thru guardrail that is intact on both sides. No flareout of portal posts. Bronze plaque on southeast portal post. Plaques shows 15 tons weight limit.

According to some maps from the era, US 271 crossed the river (the upper Ouachita River is really a small creek that is extremely shallow in places) at this location for a year or two. Some maps show it as US 371. This bridge was built after the highway was rerouted, so this isn't an old US 271 bridge.
