Description 

The railroad bridge across New River between Prince and Royal was built in about 1899 by the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway as part of the Piney Creek Subdivision, a branch line railroad built to open the undeveloped coal fields in Raleigh County, which was completed in 1901 to Raleigh, WV.
