The Tayco Street Bridge was a double leaf, Strauss Underneath Counterweight bascule bridge. It was significant as the only bridge of this type in Menasha.

With its symmetrical design and four houses at each corner, it was also significant as one of only two resources in Menasha built in the Spanish/Mediterranean Revival architectural style.

The south leaf collapsed sometime in the 1980's and was replaced with a fixed steel girder concrete span. This converted the bridge to a single leaf bascule.
