Design
Six-span, filled spandrel, reinforced concrete, continuous span deck arch. Each arch is 54 feet in length with a 7 foot rise. Neoclassical design is incorporated into the balustrades, paneling of the spandrel walls and pier faces.

Correction:

That would not be Riverside Park from which the photo was taken, but Riverside Street, which runs along the river through Monterey Park.

Hey Dude! Interesting to know that the Janesville-Rockford Interurban line ran over this bridge until the late 1920s.

The City of Janesville, WI has an Ad hoc committee regarding the future plans of the Jackson Street Bridge. The first meeting is scheduled for May 26, 2010 at 5:00 pm, 18 N. Jackson Street, Janesville's Municipal Building. We will be meeting monthly for several months.
