Facts

Overview
Lost deck truss bridge over Embarrass River and (abandoned) Chicago & Northwestern Railroad on STH 54 in New London
Status
Removed
History
Built by Wisconsin Bridge & Iron Co, 1933-34; Removed 1990's.
Builder
- Wisconsin Bridge & Iron Co. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Design
5 span, 595 foot deck arch truss. A distinctive feature was a square cut-out in the span over the river.

To the best of my knowledge, this bridge was removed when a new Hwy 45 bypass was built and Wis 54 was relocated. I will gladly stand corrected if anyone knows for sure.
