The North Approach

This bridge is a virtual twin to the South Branch bridge. There is actually an island in the Milwaukee River that is crossed by the parkway and reached by these twin bridges.

The west railing and walkway

Many depression-era bridges built in Milwaukee County parks are clad with lannon stone and appear to be arches filled with dirt, then paved over.
