Design
Fleet of multiple ferryboats provides 9 month service to Madeline Island, the largest of the Apostle Islands archipelago. The other 3 months of the year, service is provided by ice highway, airboat and aircraft. La Pointe is one of the oldest towns in the Midwest, founded by the Jesuits and French fur traders in the 1600's.
