Description
The bridge is similar to the St Johns Oregon rail bridge, the preferred design is what the railroad will construct to replace a 109 year old Strauss Heel Trunnion bascule bridge that is on its last end. More Strauss bascule bridges are becoming more obsolete of replacements and demolishing because of it abandoned left in the open position. But the rail traffic will continue on.
