Monitor-Merrimack Memorial Bridge-Tunnel

Description 

One of two tunnels under Hampton Roads in the area, with the other being the HRBT. Work began in 1985, and was completed in 1992, with this being the last link of the Hampton Roads Beltway, comprised of I-64 and I-664. The bridge-tunnel continues to provide a vital connection between Newport News and Portsmouth to this day.
