Brazos River Bridge Demolition 1973

Brazos River bridge demolition by E.H. Winn General Contractor, 1973. My dad worked for Winn for almost 25 years, and he helped lead this project. The bridge was located on US 290 between Chappell Hill and Hempstead. I watched this in person with my mother from underneath the new bridge. I was 4 years old. It made quite an impression. My dad has the shield off of the bridge.

It says:

F.A.P. 513-B Station No. 1684+11.86 (with arrow pointing West) Length: 0.2396 miles Built 1929
