The M-K-T used that company quite extensively during the 1890s, particularly for trusses. A historic report on bridges of the Katy Trail in Missouri suggests that the M-K-T liked using trusses with riveted connections, earlier than most railroads. I suspect there is a high likelihood you will come across more.
