Pond Creek Bridge
Posted October 20, 2011, by Helen Ranly (ranlyh [at] ctwa [dot] com)

I understand the State of Tx is planning to replace this bridge with a new concrete bridge. I cannot believe they would spend that amount of money on a bridge that is on a black dirt road that hardly anyone travels. It would only be traveled when it is dry for someone taking a short-cut.

There is about a 1/2 mile section of that road that would never be traveled because it is so low that if we get any amount of rain it is all under water. We have other bridges, some on bus routes, that could certainly use improvement. Some of our roads that have a lot of traffic on them every day could also be worked on. The one I travel every day is one of them.

I really hope that there is someone on the other end getting this message that could help me get some answers as to why this is being done.

Is beg the State of Texas to please spend their money in a more worthwhile way in Falls County.
