They may be planning to replace this bridge, but it's still there now. I drove past on I-55 and saw it - but most annoyingly I was unable to take the time to get any closer. Real life is getting in the way of my hobby! *grrrr*

I drove over this bridge last weekend on my way to the self-service salvage yard and decided to stop and take some pictures. The truss is actually over the railroad yard, but another span of the bridge crosses the creek. This bridge seems to have a near-twin on Highway 100 over the Harpeth River southwest of Nashville, built the same year.

The state has decided that they will be replacing both of these bridges as of a news release on 09/11/2009
