Excellent pictures, Bob.. added some more to this historic bridge. VERY heavily traveled road.. had to dodge traffic..even at 8 o'clock in the morning!

Marble marker at bridge states: "C. W. Fox, J. W. Sharp, T.D.W. McMahan PIKE COMMISSIONERS, J. C. Thomas C.E., Erected 1898" The bridge deck was widened circa 2000 but the stone arch remains sufficient for the loads of this two-lane road. This bridge is close to my residence and photos will be posted within the week. Latitude/Longitude recorded yesterday were 35 degrees 55'35" N and 83 degrees 39'10" W (in agreement with the website data)
