Meadow Creek Bridge

Would assume he is talking of this one:

And the Dandridge Bridge:

http://bridgehunter.com/tn/jefferson/45SR0920005/

The latter is listed as being up for replacement, although they apparently did repair work on it last year. Nothing listed for the Walter Bridge currently.

I would hate to see either of these bridges replaced, but especially the Walter as it indeed has a very unique design. However, we are talking Tennessee here...so nothing would surprise me!

Mike,

The Average Daily Traffic is part of the National Bridge Inventory (NBI) data set. This is provided to the public by the FHWA in an encoded format and has been converted here as-is for information only. NBI data can be useful to learn basic facts about a bridge. Some of it can however be misleading, particularly the Inspection data included in the NBI data set. NBI Inspection data generally makes a historic bridge look worse than it is.

Could you elaborate on the 25E Replacement you refer to? The only 25E bridge I know of is the Walter Bridge, a unique and significant historic cantilever truss. Is this bridge up for replacement? More details would be appreciated. I would expect they would have to conduct a Section 106 process to consider alternatives to demolishing the historic bridge before they could replace it.

I crossed this bridge today and it is being replaced. You may already know that, if so please disregard.

I Am interested in 25E and 92 bridge replacement in jefferson county, also. Curious as to where you get your daily traffic counts from ? And what end purpose/ results you desire to achieve. I.E. Preservation and or secondary life chances for old bridges or just purely informative and educational. Either way, I have enjoyed your site for several hours and am very glad I stumbled across it, and will be back and tell others.

Thank You for providing it, as it it not provided to my knowledge, by the State, until after the fact. I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first.
